Originally made in 1904 by Reverend Hubert using prize-winning fruit from the vicarage garden for his congregation’s Christmas party and summer village fete. The cheeky Rev flew in the face of convention by distilling against the Licensing Act – famously even being arrested until he agreed to give up his beloved still, Gertrude.
Hubert’s recipes and distillation methods were designed to create a popular tasty more drinkable gin to be enjoyed at a lower alcoholic strength, with a high degree of purity, blending carefully selected real fruit and natural spices of high quality.
Reverend Hubert Summer Cup and Winter Gin Liqueur are the perfect fruity additions to summer spritzes and festive party cocktails.
